Tim Ries& Bernard Fowler rehearsing

Sunday evening: Tim Ries is texting me he is on his way to the airport. Next morning he calls me from Hilversum, where he is staying at a hotel, together with Bernard Fowler. They are rehearsing with the Metropole Big Band. I talk to NPS Radio, they will record the gig coming Friday, to be broadcast later this summer, something Tim appears to be unaware of! We agree to meet later on today, either at Hilversum or in Amsterdam. Dutch journalist Stan Rijven did an interview for Trouw national newspaper, which is due for publication on Thursday 2 July.
